This beautiful home in Waterford has a large south facing apex window which was causing some issues with glare and heat build up in the home.
A lot of newer homes have large glass installs which face south so that they can get the most out of the Irish sun when it appears and maximise the natural light entering the space. While this is a beautiful feature in this home the clients were finding the sun glare and heat control issues difficult to live with and did not want to have to install curtains or blinds which would obscure their views.
After some discussion about the various film options it was decided that Sentinel 50 would be applied externally to the apex window to address the client’s concerns. Sentinel 50 is a very effective solar control film with a slight tint which does not inhibit the views from inside the home once applied and as such is one of our most popular films to date for residential projects.
